Meet reMarkable Paper Pro — the company’s flagship paper tablet, and the one it calls “the ultimate paper tablet.” It brings paper into your digital workflow with an ultra-slim, portable design, but doesn’t compromise on scale: a full-size 11.8-inch color display, an adjustable reading light, and what reMarkable describes as an unmatched paper-like writing experience. Priced from $629 with a Marker included, it’s built for anyone who wants the biggest, most capable canvas in reMarkable’s lineup.

Closer to Real Paper Than Ever

reMarkable says the textured surface of Paper Pro’s custom-built display is crafted to deliver realistic friction and an even more natural writing feel than earlier devices. Lightning-fast responsiveness and a pen-to-ink distance of less than 1 mm push it, in reMarkable’s words, to “the peak of paper realism.” The Marker snaps magnetically into place and feels perfectly weighted and balanced, while Marker Plus adds a textured grip and a built-in eraser for longer, more comfortable writing sessions.

    Color That Adds Clarity

Unlike other digital paper displays, reMarkable’s Canvas Color display uses millions of color ink particles, according to the official product page, creating better saturation, depth, a broader range of natural tones, and more sophisticated blending. Color isn’t just decorative here — it’s a workflow tool. Use it to add structure to notes and plans, draw attention to what matters, elevate documents you’re reviewing, or make complex information easier to understand at a glance on a large, comfortable-to-read screen.

    Read in Comfort, Stay Organised

Rather than emitting harsh blue light like a smartphone or laptop, Paper Pro reflects natural light just like a favorite book, and its adjustable reading light lets you work comfortably day or night. Folders, tags, and search keep handwritten notes, PDFs, ebooks, and sketches organised and easy to find, with everything accessible across the reMarkable mobile and desktop apps and synced to the cloud. Handwriting converts to typed text in a single tap, and with the optional Type Folio keyboard cover, you can combine handwriting and typing on the same page — refining or expanding converted drafts without ever reaching for a laptop.

    Is It Right for You?

Paper Pro is the pick for anyone who wants the largest, most vivid canvas in reMarkable’s lineup and doesn’t mind paying a premium for it or carrying a slightly larger device. It particularly suits people who review documents and presentations in color, want the option to add a keyboard, or simply prefer a bigger page to think on. If portability is the priority, reMarkable Paper Pro Move is smaller and lighter; if you want the lowest price and don’t need color, reMarkable Paper Pure is the simpler, more affordable choice.

    Official Accessories

reMarkable sells a wider accessory range for Paper Pro than for its other tablets, according to its official product, folio, and Type Folio pages:

    • Marker — the standard included pen, magnetically attached, perfectly weighted and balanced for natural handwriting.
    • Marker Plus — adds a textured grip and a built-in eraser; included in several bundles or available separately.
    • Book Folio — a protective cover available in six colors: polymer weave in Gray, Mosaic weave in Basalt, Burgundy, or Cobalt, and premium leather in Black or Brown, with a magnetic strap for the Marker and auto-wake/lock sensors.
    • Type Folio — a keyboard cover with an ergonomic palm rest, full-size backlit keys, and satisfying key travel, priced at $229. It requires no pairing or charging, wakes the tablet when opened, and lets you combine handwriting and typing on the same page.
    • Marker tips and a USB-C cable — replacement and charging essentials, sold separately.

reMarkable also sells Paper Pro as part of bundles: the base device starts at $629 with a standard Marker; the Marker Plus bundle is $679; the Book Folio bundle (premium leather, with Marker Plus) is $799; and the Type Folio bundle (with Marker Plus) is $829.

    What’s in the Box

Every reMarkable Paper Pro ships ready to write out of the box. According to reMarkable’s official listings, the base package includes:

    • reMarkable Paper Pro tablet with 11.8-inch Canvas Color display
    • Marker (standard pen)
    • 6 spare Marker tips
    • USB-C charging cable

If you choose the Marker Plus bundle, the eraser-equipped Marker Plus replaces the standard Marker. Choosing a Book Folio bundle adds a Book Folio cover, while the Type Folio bundle adds the keyboard cover instead.

Try Before You Commit: The 50-Day Guarantee

Not sure if Paper Pro fits your workflow? reMarkable offers the same 50-day satisfaction guarantee on this device as the rest of its lineup: try it risk-free for 50 days, and if it misses the mark, return it for a full refund. Free shipping applies to orders placed directly through remarkable.com.
