Limitless Pendant was a lightweight wearable recorder designed to remember conversations, create searchable transcripts and help users recover details from everyday life. Following the acquisition of Limitless by Meta in December 2025, the company stopped selling the device to new customers. Existing owners continue to receive support through 2026 and now receive the Unlimited plan without a subscription fee.

What was the Limitless Pendant?
The Limitless Pendant was an optional companion to the Limitless mobile and desktop service. Worn with a magnetic clasp, it recorded in person meetings, impromptu conversations and spoken reflections, then synchronised with a phone for cloud transcription and analysis. The service organised the day into a Lifelog that could be searched, replayed and questioned later.
A physical button started or stopped recording and allowed users to mark important moments. Within minutes, recorded speech appeared in the app with a transcript, speaker labels and an AI summary. The product was intended to reduce manual note taking and provide reliable recall across both work and personal conversations.
Key features
- Continuous conversation capture: Recorded throughout the day with controls to pause, stop or delete material.
- Searchable Lifelog: Organised recordings, transcripts and summaries into a chronological personal history.
- Ask AI: Answered questions across previous conversations and retrieved specific details.
- Automatic notes: Created summaries, key points and follow up information for each conversation.
- Speaker recognition: Learned voices from short labelled samples and identified them in later recordings.
- Multilingual transcription: Supported more than 100 languages and detected language changes within a conversation.
- Moment marking: A quick button press starred an important point for later review.
- Audio replay: Preserved the original recording alongside the transcript and summary.
- Mobile and desktop access: Synchronised through iOS or Android, with Lifelog review on web, Mac and Windows.
- Wearable design: Used a magnetic clasp, USB C charging and an IP54 water resistance rating.
AI features
Limitless used AI to transform a long stream of recorded speech into structured information that could be reviewed immediately or recalled months later.
- Speech transcription: Converted recorded conversations into searchable text.
- Automatic summaries: Produced short overviews and key points from each discussion.
- Speaker identification: Learned labelled voices and attributed future dialogue to the correct person.
- Cross conversation search: Retrieved information across the user’s recording history.
- Ask AI: Answered natural language questions about meetings, commitments and earlier conversations.
- Preparation insights: Surfaced relevant past context before an upcoming interaction.
- Reminders and organisation: Helped recover promises, tasks, shopping items and other spoken details.
- Personal reflection: Turned spoken thinking into organised and actionable insights.
- Custom vocabulary: Improved transcripts by storing specialised names and terms.
- Multilingual processing: Recognised speakers and shifting languages across global conversations.
How the Pendant turned conversation into memory
- Record: Start capture from the Pendant and wear it during a conversation or spoken reflection.
- Synchronise: Transfer recordings through the paired iOS or Android app.
- Process: Generate a transcript, speaker labels and an AI summary.
- Review: Browse or replay the conversation in the chronological Lifelog.

- Client conversations: Preserve requirements, commitments and questions for later follow up.
- Personal reflection: Think aloud, work through a complex issue and receive an organised summary.
- Ideas on the move: Record spontaneous thoughts when typing or reaching for a phone is inconvenient.
- Everyday memory: Recover recommendations, shopping items, names and other passing details.

Software and workflow
The Pendant depended on the Limitless iOS or Android app for pairing and synchronisation. Users could then search, replay and ask questions about their Lifelog through mobile, web, Mac and Windows software. Speaker labelling, custom dictionary terms and export tools helped improve results and move information outside the service. Following the Meta acquisition, non Pendant functionality such as Rewind is being retired.
Current support and subscription status
Existing Pendant customers no longer need to pay for a subscription and receive the Unlimited plan free. Limitless has committed to supporting existing Pendant customers throughout 2026. New units cannot be purchased, and service availability ended in several regions in December 2025. Owners should export important data and monitor official notices because long term support beyond 2026 has not been promised.

Who is it for?
The Limitless Pendant is relevant today mainly to existing owners and readers studying the evolution of AI wearables. Continuing customers can still use its searchable memory and free Unlimited service during the announced support period, but they should plan for an uncertain future and keep exported copies of important data. New buyers should consider currently available alternatives such as Omi or Plaud NotePin rather than seeking used hardware that relies on a time limited cloud service.
