POCO has confirmed that its F9 Series will make its global debut on 1 September 2026, setting the stage for a new generation of performance focused smartphones led by the POCO F9 Ultra.

The company is promoting the launch under the message “Powerful Inside. Stunning Outside,” signalling that raw speed and a more polished exterior will share equal billing. An official teaser confirms that the F9 Ultra will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, placing it firmly in flagship territory.

    F9 Ultra leads the campaign

The early campaign centres on the POCO F9 Ultra. Its confirmed Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip is Qualcomm’s premium mobile platform for the new generation, and POCO is using that specification as the clearest indication of the phone’s ambitions. The positioning suggests a device built for demanding games, intensive apps and sustained multitasking, although POCO has not yet published the complete performance configuration on its Australian launch page.

The teaser also shows a premium design direction rather than the aggressively styled gaming look sometimes associated with performance phones. POCO describes the F9 Ultra as fast on the inside and striking on the outside, making appearance a central part of the launch story instead of treating it as a secondary detail.

F9 Pro adds colour to the lineup

POCO has also previewed the F9 Pro in an Aurora Green finish. The vivid colour gives the Pro model its own identity ahead of launch and reinforces the wider emphasis on exterior design. Final colour availability may differ by market, so Australian options will become clear when local product and sales details are announced.

    Key details remain under wraps

POCO has not yet confirmed the complete Australian specification sheet, local pricing or retail availability. Camera hardware, battery capacity, charging speeds, memory choices and display details should therefore be treated as unconfirmed until they appear on official regional product pages or are announced during the launch event.

That leaves the current announcement as a preview rather than a full reveal. What is clear is POCO’s intended direction: flagship silicon in the Ultra model, a stronger design identity across the range and a global launch campaign built around performance without overlooking appearance.

    Launch and Australian availability

The POCO F9 Series global launch is scheduled for 1 September 2026. Australian buyers can follow the regional launch page for confirmed models, pricing, configurations and purchase timing. Until those details are published, any figures circulating outside POCO’s official channels should be regarded as preliminary.

For now, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powered F9 Ultra is the headline act. The full reveal will determine whether the wider F9 Series can translate that flagship promise into a compelling package for Australian buyers.
