Samsung Sets August 27 Galaxy Event for a New Galaxy S26 Family Device

Samsung will hold its next Galaxy Event on August 27, 2026, where it plans to reveal a new addition to the Galaxy S26 family. The company’s invitation places camera features, artificial intelligence and the latest version of One UI at the centre of the announcement.

The online presentation begins at 9 p.m. Korea Standard Time, equivalent to 12 p.m. UTC. Samsung will stream the launch through its website and YouTube channel, with the US announcement also listing the Samsung Members app as a viewing option.

    What Samsung has confirmed

Samsung says the device is designed to bring many of the Galaxy S26 series’ experiences to a wider audience. Its wording points to photography, Galaxy AI and current One UI software as the main themes, but the invitation does not provide a model name, specifications, price or release date.

The company also notes that its basic Galaxy AI features are free under current terms, while future enhanced features, new services or third-party AI tools may use different pricing or conditions. That distinction will matter as Samsung expands AI across more devices.

What to expect—and what remains speculation

Industry coverage widely expects the unnamed phone to be the Galaxy S26 FE, a more affordable member of Samsung’s flagship family. That would fit the company’s previous release pattern, but Samsung has not confirmed the FE name, hardware details or whether other products will appear at the event.

Viewers should expect Samsung to explain which Galaxy S26 camera and AI tools are included, what has changed in One UI, and how the new device is positioned on price and performance. Regional availability, storage options, colours, trade-in offers and launch timing are also likely to be key questions.

Until the stream begins, the only firm details are the event date, its focus on a new Galaxy S26 family member, and Samsung’s emphasis on camera, AI and software. Claims about the Galaxy S26 FE or additional devices should remain labelled as expectations rather than confirmed announcements.
